Air Quality Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX

Altamira-US, LLC. is seeking an Air Quality Specialist with consulting experience and client relationships to grow our air quality services in North Texas.

Business development with current and new clients will be a large responsibility of this position. Building a local business within the local market, working with the existing Altamira team to expand services offered to clients, and bringing on other talented air professionals will all be part of this exciting role. The ideal candidate will have work experience with industrial and manufacturing clientele and be experienced performing air dispersion modeling (Air Quality Analysis, NAAQS compliance, Excess Emissions Impacts Analysis, etc.) and preparing air permitting documentation (Title V, New Source Review, Permits by Rule, etc.).

You can expect to travel across the U.S. and, overnight travel may average approximately 15%. You will be expected to manage multiple projects at a time.

We require a minimum of a BA/BS in Environmental Science/Engineering or other related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. This position requires initiative, attention to detail, analytical thinking, accountability, and commitment to quality and accuracy.

Job Details

  • Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality
  • Understand specific processes and develop a permitting and compliance strategy for clients
  • Prepares minor source, major source, Title V and PSD air permits for submittal to appropriate regulatory agencies
  • Uses various software (e.g., Promax, E&P tanks, etc.) to calculate site emissions
  • Experienced in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, project coordination, and client interaction
  • Determine applicability of air quality regulations, including NSPS, MACT, NESHAP, and Emissions Inventory
  • Assists in the completion of air emission inventories, greenhouse gas reporting, and NSPS/NESHAP compliance and reporting
  • Perform air dispersion modeling and prepare air quality analysis reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with co-workers, clients, and subcontractors
  • Develop business with current and new clients
  • Candidate must have a collaborative approach, willing to work with other offices to cross-market service lines and work towards larger project opportunities
  • Conducts field activities, sometimes requiring overnight travel, including, but not limited to inspecting and auditing facilities to evaluate compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
