Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Design and Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of pipeline systems, including route selection, alignment, sizing, and material selection, with a focus on integrity assessment. Utilize GIS tools and expertise to support pipeline design and route optimization.
  • ILI and Integrity Assessment: Oversee the implementation and analysis of In-Line Inspection (ILI) data to assess the integrity of pipelines. Utilize your knowledge of ILI technologies and techniques to evaluate pipeline conditions and recommend appropriate integrity management strategies.
  • Programming and Automation: Apply your strong programming skills, particularly in Python and C+, to develop automated tools and scripts for pipeline data analysis, integrity modeling, and optimization. Implement software solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in pipeline engineering tasks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines, such as ASME B31.4/B31.8, API 1163, and PHMSA regulations. Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory developments and apply this knowledge to pipeline design and integrity management practices.
  • Project Management: Take a leadership role in managing pipeline projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination. Oversee a team of engineers and technical staff to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies for pipeline projects. Utilize your expertise in integrity assessment, failure analysis, and risk modeling to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate measures to enhance pipeline safety and reliability.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their specific project requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Foster strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor in pipeline engineering and integrity management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in pipeline engineering, with a focus on GIS, Python and C+ programming, ILI, and integrity assessment.
  • Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS, to support pipeline design, route optimization, and data analysis.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and C+, to develop automated tools and scripts for pipeline data analysis and integrity modeling.
  • In-depth knowledge of ILI technologies, data analysis, and integrity assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with pipeline industry standards and regulations, such as ASME B31.4/B31.8, API 1163, and PHMSA regulations.
  • Project management experience, including managing pipeline projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
