QA/QC Inspector – Oil and Gas
Location: Houston, Texas
Required Skills:

- Problem solving – Ability to identify errors and communicate the necessary information required to correct the errors.

- Knowledge – Ability to recognize the relevant standards or regulations and apply them in the review of records or reports.
- Math skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions.
- Computer skills – Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word) Bluebeam and Teams
- Collaboration – Ability to work as a part of a team.
Required Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry as a quality control inspector responsible for the following:
- Reviewing material test reports (MTRs) for legibility, accuracy, and completeness
- Monitoring fitting makeup and piping fit up
- Monitoring and documentation review of welding
- Inspecting, testing, and recording the installation and location of fabrication materials
- Inspecting the mechanical assembly of piping and equipment
- Monitoring, recording and documentation review of hydrostatic or pneumatic testing
- Monitoring, recording and documentation review of non-destructive and destructive testing
- Assembly of the records and documentations required by technical standards, codes or specifications in hard copy or digital form
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project documentation, redline deficiencies, record missing or incomplete documents.
- Review survey data and construction photos to determine the accuracy of the project documentation.
- Accurately record material heat numbers, welds, welders, inspections and testing in the required format to provide evidence for potential audits
- Verify project materials meet design requirements.
- Review CAD and alignment drawings for accuracy and provide redlines if necessary.
- Report to and review findings with client representative.
- Provide approved findings to appropriate party for corrective action.
- Review corrected documents for accuracy and completeness.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with occasional field visits.
- Travel may be required for audits and stakeholder meetings.
