Pipeline integrity management is the ongoing process of assessing, monitoring and mitigating risks to pipeline systems to prevent failures, leaks and spills. It is required by PHMSA under 49 CFR Part 192 (gas) and Part 195 (hazardous liquids) for pipelines in High Consequence Areas, with many principles applied industry-wide as best practice.
