Altamira-US, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Drafter with 1-3 years of experience. The successful candidate will have proficiency in CADWorx and AutoCAD as well as experience designing piping systems within the midstream, downstream/utility, refining or petrochemical industries. The ability to work well in a team setting, great organizational skills and excellent communication are a must. Applicants should display a firm understanding of design principles and how to apply them. Previous work experience developing 3D models and creating isometrics, as well as detailed design packages including plans, sections and elevations are a plus.

• Utilize computer software including AutoCAD, CADWorx, JetStream, Cyclone, Cloud Worx, Raster and others to develop drawings and other deliverables for both design and as-built packages
• Utilize client-provided redlines to edit and correct 3D CADWorx models and paper space layouts
• Perform field verification of existing components and produce quality field notes. (including isometric sketches)
• Develop 3D models in CADWorx from which other deliverables such as material take-offs, isometrics and plan & section drawings will be created
• Work with engineers and provide CAD assistance for project deliverables
• Work closely with other disciplines to ensure continuity of design
• Perform self-checks and adhere to all company and client standards.
• Communicate adequately to supervisors on work progress, identify roadblocks and troubleshoot issues as needed.

• Completion of mechanical design/drafting course.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and previous work experience with CADWorx. Experience with point cloud software such as Leica JetStream or Cyclone is a plus.
• Prior work experience within the industrial, petrochemical, midstream or downstream utility industries.
• Ability to read P&IDs and piping specifications.
• Ability to climb towers/structures – executing plant walkdowns.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, etc.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
